OSS is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to fill a position as Behavioral Health Care Facilitator for the 18th Medical Group, Kadena AB in Okinawa, Japan. The best candidate possess a minimal Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN), is Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner- Board Certified (PMHNP-BC), has 3 years full-time as a in mental health nursing and is already located or is PCSing to Okinawa, Japan.

Requirements:
Education: The registered nurse shall be a graduate from a Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree program in nursing accredited by a national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education.
License: Applicants must be a current U.S. licensed Registered Nurse. Must maintain an Active, current, valid and unrestricted license to practice nursing in accordance with State Board requirements. License cannot be under investigation nor have any adverse action pending from a Nursing State Board or national licensing/certification agency.
Certification: Must already have OR be eligible for certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner- Board Certified (PMHNP-BC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Experience. Must have practiced the equivalent of 3 years full-time in mental health nursing, have a minimum of 2,000 hours of clinical practice in psychiatric mental health nursing within the last 3 years, have completed 30 hours of continuing education in psychiatric-mental health nursing within the last 3 years, and must have practiced in a mental health setting within the last 36 months. Prior Military Health Care Setting Case Management and Mental Health Experience Preferred.
Immunizations: Before start of work, health care workers shall provide proof of immunization from the following diseases according to CDC guidelines: Hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and influenza. The RN shall also provide proof of a negative Tuberculosis (TB) skin test within 12months (if positive, proof of negative chest X-ray within 12 months) prior to start of work. After start of work, the Government will provide post blood borne exposure protocols according to applicable Air Force instructions (AFIs). Start of work is defined as the period of performance start date of the contract.
