Front Desk Receptionist/Admin PORTLAND, OR

Employ Northwest is currently seeking a qualified and experienced in-person Front Desk Receptionist/ Clinical Admin to work for outpatient medical or mental health clinics in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate is already located in Portland area and has experience working in an outpatient clinic or a customer service role. This position can be both full and part time.

Main Job Responsibilities:

● Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls

● Verifying patients insurance

● Collecting all patient copays, coinsurance and deductibles

● Greet and welcome guests

● Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable

● Receive deliveries

● Follow the Ordering Supplies Workflow

● Update office spreadsheets and client lists

● Physically file and organize all documents electronically

● Maintain the front desk copay tracker

● Coordinate with the billing and scheduling departments

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Science, Healthcare, or Business-based programs

Experience: Minimum of one year experience working in a medical or mental health clinic and/or two years of experience working in a customer service role

Work Eligibility: Proof of eligibility to work in the United States prior to the start date

  2. Basic familiarity working with different software programs such as Word, Excel, Google Suites, and the clinic's EHR system

  3. Ability to have a flexible and problem solving mindset
